Laura’s 18th birthday dinner party at home with a handful of her closest friends.  I love black and white so decided to go old-school using Canon’s cheapest lens, the plastic-bodied 50mm 1.8. With it’s hit and miss auto focus I wouldn’t risk using it at a wedding etc but for low-stress family gatherings, it can sometimes come up with nice images - some very sweet shots of Laura with her little sister Emma plus a few others.
