I don’t know how many times I’ve visited the National Gallery of Canada, more often in winter months with the children for Artissimo, and more recent visits, just myself and a camera.  I love the space, the galleries, the architecture,  numerous expansive rooms filed with art of all genres.  I  challenge myself to come out of there with some creatively good photography. Sometimes I do, sometimes not.  You can decide for yourself here.

Thursday evenings are a good time to visit, it’s free admission from 5pm to 8pm. Best of all, there’s pretty much no restriction on photographing anything in the gallery, unlike in the past when the ubiquitous security guys would step in to halt the camera wielding masses from shooting.  Have a look…
