River Ice in Aylmer

It didn’t take long for the ice the gain enough thickness for ice fishing and other activities. What I saw was kite skis, snowmobiles, even a bicycle carving tracks across the frozen landscape.  I don’t think anyone was actually catching any fish, not that I could see anyway.  It’s a very social Canadian thing to be found all across this land as we endure the winter months. The contrast on the river from thick winter ice to summer waters is quite something.
